Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to purchases made at kudoeyewear.com. The mandatory consumer law of your own country always takes precedence. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
1. The seller
KUDO Eyewear is a trading name of Walter Söderqvist, a Swedish sole trader (enskild näringsidkare) with its registered seat in Falun, Dalarna, Sweden, registered on 14 August 2026 and registered for F-skatt and VAT. KUDO is also registered in the Norwegian VOEC scheme for sales to consumers in Norway. The organisation number, VAT number, postal address and email address are published on our contact page.
2. Who can order
You must be 18 or over to place an order. If you are under 18, you need a guardian's consent.
3. Prices, VAT and currency
Prices are shown in the currency of your market — Swedish kronor in Sweden, Norwegian kroner in Norway — and include the VAT applicable to that market. For Norway, Norwegian VAT is charged at checkout under the VOEC scheme and paid onward by us, so no import VAT or customs clearance fee is collected on delivery. Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you pay. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors; if a price is clearly wrong we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel without cost.
4. Orders and when the contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If a product turns out to be unavailable after you order, we will tell you and refund in full.
5. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments, including Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not store your card details.
6. Order confirmation
You receive an order confirmation by email immediately after ordering, and a dispatch confirmation with tracking when the parcel is handed to the carrier.
7. Shipping and delivery
Shipping options, costs and destinations are on our shipping page. Risk for the goods passes to you when you, or someone you have nominated, take physical possession of them.
8. Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from receiving your order to withdraw, without giving a reason — under the Distance Contracts Act in Sweden, the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven) in Norway, or the equivalent national rules elsewhere in the EEA. Use our online withdrawal form or contact us. Full detail, including who pays return shipping, is on our returns page.
9. Returns
Return the product within 14 days of notifying us, with its case, pouch and packaging. You may examine it as you would in a shop; if its value has been reduced by handling beyond that, we may make a proportionate deduction and will explain it. Returns from Norway must be customs-declared as returned goods — we will explain how when you notify us.
10. Complaints and defects
In Sweden, the Consumer Sales Act gives you three years to complain about a defect present at delivery, with a two-year presumption in your favour. In Norway, the Consumer Purchases Act gives you two years, extended to five years where the product is intended to last substantially longer than two years. Complain within a reasonable time of discovery; within two months always counts as reasonable. We will remedy the defect in line with the law, at our cost.
11. Refunds
Refunds are made to your original payment method, in the currency you paid in, within 14 days of us receiving your withdrawal notice, though we may wait for the product or proof of return. We refund the product price and our standard outbound shipping cost.
12. Discount codes and promotions
Discount codes are valid for the stated period, cannot be combined unless stated, have no cash value and cannot be applied retroactively. If a code is used in breach of its terms or in bad faith we may cancel the order and refund.
13. Product information
We aim to describe products accurately, including colour. Screens render colour differently, and minor variation between a photograph and the product is not a defect. Specifications not yet published on our technology page are ones we have not confirmed, and should not be assumed.
14. Intellectual property
The KUDO name and logo, product designs, photography, text and layout on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced commercially without written consent.
15. Liability
We are liable for defective products and for failures in delivery as set out in applicable consumer law. We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, accident, alteration, or by disregarding the care instructions. Nothing here limits our liability for personal injury, gross negligence or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
16. Force majeure
We are not in breach of these terms where performance is prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as industrial action, natural disaster, war, or the failure of a carrier or payment provider. Your statutory rights, including your right to cancel and be refunded, are unaffected.
17. Applicable law
Swedish law applies to the contract. If you are a consumer resident in Norway or another EEA country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and nothing in these terms deprives you of it.
18. Disputes
Contact us first. If we cannot agree:
- Sweden: the National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN, at arn.se, free of charge, whose decisions we follow.
- Norway: Forbrukertilsynet at forbrukertilsynet.no, which mediates and can refer the case to Forbrukerklageutvalget.
- Elsewhere in the EU: the EU online dispute resolution platform.
